Census readiness runs the checks ahead of census week and tells you which site is missing what. A missing teaching-language percentage or an incomplete staff record is a small job in August and a very unwelcome one during census week itself.

The same idea runs through the funding reports: the RS7 figures are assembled from attendance you've already recorded, not re-entered.

The attendance trail behind the funding

Funded hours have to be defensible, and that means being able to show the individual records behind the number you claimed, months or years later.

The log keeps them, including who changed what. If a claim is ever questioned, the answer is a filter rather than an archive box.

Licensed capacity, per site and per day

Each site carries its own licence: which days it's open, what hours, how many licensed places it holds, and how many of those are for under-twos. Those figures are what the ratio checks measure against, so they're recorded once and used everywhere.

Schedule 2 sets 1:5 for under-twos and 1:10 for over-twos in a centre-based service. Home-based services are measured against Schedule 1A instead, and Oversite applies whichever one your service type is licensed under.
